Search didn't excaclty address my problem, sorry if I missed it.
Installed my scout in a sage today, and on reassembly, I had to tap the trigger group in the last 1/4" or so with a hammer before I could lock it down, I couldn't do it by hand. Lock down pressure was good after tapped into place. Manually pulling back the op rod you can feel it is really hard to reset the hammer. During test firing, the trigger would not reset. Prior to this it was in a walnut stock with no functional issues. What is the fix?
Also, I don't know if this is a related issue or not, but the op rod now makes noise when cycled, as the "ribs" on the rod now contact the new sage block. It didn't start making any racket until I installed the spring and guide. Before that is was smooth and quiet, now it "zips" as you cycle it.
