Does anyone make a side folding stock like this?

This is an Airsoft gun. No clue as to whether it will fit a regular M1A though I did send them an email.

I want a telescoping / side folding stock setup for an M1A that looks just like this one with an AR15 type telescoping stock on a side folding tube, similar to what is found on the Sig 556.

it won't let me post a URL so just google STAR M14 EBR Folding Stock

Ace Stocks Ltd. makes an AR side-folder exactly like that.

I have one on my ebr, and it works like a champ. Not to mention the odd looks you get when you go to the range ;) The only issue would be the type of EBR stock you have. If it came with the M4 adapter, then no problem. Otherwise you might be able to order it from Sage Intl. or Cylde Armory.

Thanks for that link.

So where do I get an EBR stock without breaking the bank or is that impossible?

Not really, your only options are the Sage Intl. EBR-CQB model, or the Troy Industries. Both are roughly the same price, and use M4/AR style mounting points for the grip and buttstock.
($500-700)

Cool Forgot to post a pic.....

Here is my folding M1A/EBR set up:

It is a Loaded model SA mounted in a Sage EBR-CBQ stock. The stock is a modified Magpul PRS and the grip is an Ergo Deluxe Tactical (both standard AR items)

WOW, that is very nice set up. How is the weight on that thing. Much more than the USGI stock setup? And how's the balance of it? That sure is a beaut!

Thank You !! With the heavier barrel, it actually balances out very nicely. I like the PRS stock, but I am considering dropping it and using a CTR with a cheek-piece. (and telescoping stock)

Who makes the scope mount? I bought a VLTOR quad rail off a guy and it does not have the rail that goes all the way back to the clip guide. I called Springfield Armory to try and get one and they told me they won't sell it to me. So I don't know how I'm going to mount the scope. My only idea right now is to buy an 18" blank picatiny rail and machine it to replace the top rail that is on the quad rail now.

By the way how do you get those screws out? They are the shallowest slots for a flat head I've ever seen!

It is actually a YHM scout rail, turned around backwards, using the Sage rail and the stipper clip guide rail as mounting points.
You could also use an ARMS .75 riser rail. to bridge the gap

PM sent. Although I just noticed you have the standard telescoping adapter. You will need the Sage EBR-CQB adapter to use with the ACE folding stock. I would call Sage Int. or Clyde Armory to see if they have that piece.

Cool Here are some close up pics....

Here are some pics so you can see how it bolts up:

I did switch over to the Magpul CTR (w/cheekpiece). The whole set up, with the folding mechanism weighs less than the PRS by itself.

That is a great looking rifle. I have seen pics of the SAGE before but just now realized that the stock eliminates the front band. Does the stock come with a washer or shim to replace it? I assume this equates to a free floating barrel, correct?

Tony, the Sage EBR chassis system eliminates the front hand guard stop, and the GI op rod guide. There are two bedding points; the receiver and the Sage op-rod guide (which bolts through the chassis via three hex bolts at the 9:00, 6 and 3:00 positions)
This is the original Sage PDF install manual:

Hope this helps

Thanks,
That was a very clear illustration. I have to say, I like how they did it. I take it a rear-lugged receiver utilizes the rear bedding screw as an additional attachment point? I am impressed.
