XM 21 Completion

I just acquired a new (test fired only) Bula XM21. Since there is no rear sight pocket you are obviously limited to optics (unless there is some very clever engineering going on somewhere). I have a medium weight NM barrel that is around 19" in length and ends in a threaded connection.

My real question is what do knowledgable folks suggest for the business end of the rifle? Should I install a compensator or some type or a flash suppressor? A can would be nice but I am unlikely to spend another $900 plus right now and then wait for six or more months for the ATF approval. Note that this is not a bug out or a long range rifle, but just something for me to shoot and enjoy with some possibility of using it for a hog hunt or two.

All suggestions and thoughts are welcome.

I'm putting the SEI M14 Direct Connect (DC) Vortex Flash Eliminator on all my Bula builds to include the XM21.

I would put a lugged flash hider on it, why because they look right.

SEI Vortex on most of my XM21s. Either that or snip the barrel and re-crown with no muzzle device at all.

living in a commie state, I ordered and will be soon installing a Smith Enterprises Good Iron muzzle brake with 9/16x24 thread and a jam nut. Queen Maura Healey (Taxachusetts Attorney General) says 'flash hiders' are bad. Compensators are totally ok though!
