Just brought my Mod 0 home today

Finally got to bring her home. Thankfully my local gunsmith was a good babysitter for her. Immediately right off the bat this thread was invaluable http://m14forum.com/modern-m14/10599.../105998?page=2 . Wow I'm a new user here that used the search function.
Now I just have to wait and collect the rest of the parts (at the very least a usgi bolt and med weight barrel). I'm thinking on ordering the Wolverine Supply usgi parts kit to upgrade everything at once but they are only listing light and heavy weight barrels with the kits. Would I be able to have a gunsmith turn down the heavy barrel to med weight spec's?

Thanks from Tommo

Just buy a medium barrel and sell off the heavy.

I just went to their website and it appears that the barrel on the heavy is actually a medium contour.

I wonder what those markings are on the bolt?

Answering my own question, I bet the markings on the bolt are probably just the weapons serial #...

So I have read into the wolverine supply parts kit and they are saying some areason heavy barrel and some are medium's. As for the rest of the parts I think they are mixed kits and you get what you get. Of course out of stock, but it will give me time to save a few penny's.

Oh forgot to mention I installed my rifle into the chassis the other night, but I doubt you guys want pics.....

Thank you TonyBen for making an excellent installation video. Watching that a few times before receiveing my chassis made it a walk in the park.

Oh right the pics....
