My 3 Year EBR Build is at an End

So after what feels like an eternity, a ton of time running around this forum as a reference, lots of deliberations with fellow shooters in my area, and one permanently damaged flip flop, I have completed my EBR.

This gun started its life as a police M1A Scout and was slowly transformed with the following:
Sage EBR chassis
Leupold 3.5 x 10 x40mm Mark AR optic
ARMS rings
Harris bipod
Tango Down Foregrip
Smith Enterprises open top gas lock front sight
Smith Enterprises Vortex flash hider
and finally a Smith Enterprises Windtalker suppressor

Here are some pictures. I am proud of what I managed to build with the help of a few good friends (huge shout out to Tyler Bewley in Kingsland GA,) but am always interested in constructive criticism. Enjoy!

I am curious about the story behind the destroyed flip flop.

The gun shoots very well, I have had very good luck with performance at a relatively short distance. I have not however been able to stretch it out past 100 yards yet (no long range within reasonable driving distance).

The flip flop story involves the first time I put the gun in the EBR chassis. I unfortunately didn't take a picture and the flip flops are no more. After disassembling the rifle a buddy and I were trying to reinstall the flash hider on the gun (not the same one on the gun now.) This particular flash hider was not a gas lock front sight, and instead was a more traditional front sight with a castle nut. The fit was SUPER tight and my friend and I were having difficulty getting the flash hider on far enough to get the castle nut back on. I didn't have a mallet, but I did have a hammer. Not wanting to go metal on metal with my gun and a hammer, I decided my flip flop would provide adequate cushion. The job was successful, however the flip flop in question had 3 rings welded into its foam for the rest of its life.

NorthernRebel27- You ask for constructive criticism; but there isn't any. Cool!

Looking good! Just for my own information, what does it weigh loaded with 20 round mag?

The gun with a loaded 20 round mag and the suppressor weighs about the same as a dying star. In all actuality it weighs about 15 pounds fully loaded

Thanks from JoshN

Beautiful gun! Do you think the 10x magnification is sufficient? I'm trying to decide on a scope for mine.

Honestly I do. With the capabilities of the .308 it is unlikely we will be pushing past 1000 yards (800) more realistically with any consistency. If you do decide to go with a 10x I would recommend mine to anyone, its fabulous.

Nice looking build! Forgive my ignorance, but what is the weird black box thingy hanging off the left rail? A laser marking device? IR illumination? I've seen them before on tacticool AR's and such, but I've never known what it is.
