My 1st 20rd Mag....

So, I finally got to shoot my first ever M1A today. As a matter of fact, just moments ago lol. In one word, it was just WOW.
I didn't really know what to expect as Ive only ever had one other semi auto rifle. That being a Sig M400 Enhanced. NEVER, would I have ever imagined, the felt recoil being as low as it was/is!! This rifle is unbelievable.....Just wanted to share my initial - giddy as a school girl excitement/ 1st impressions.

Thanks from Tommo, 1KPerDay, neubert500 and 3 others

The recoil couldn't have been much worse than the Sig .223

Congrats on trying a man's gun. Now get a Garand and your testiqules will increase in diameter by a factor of 3.

Thanx fellas!
No pics this time, but certainly some to come!!
Lol.....its funny, he's always been right ...
I was tellin my dad today about a good deal on Sig M400 with a Romeo scope. I had sold my last one long ago. Lol, he could've cared less about hearing about it. Said, that M1A I've got is the only one I'll ever need. He was in the 101st, and was issued an M1 Garand. He was the best shooter in the Batallion with it too. Told me I didnt need no scope, not with those nice sights....said, Ill show ya a thing or two with that rifle. Lol, this is one more bad ass rifle.

Listen to your dad, he probably will show something with it. Which model did you choose?

It takes me awhile to put the rifle with the name, I remember when you first posted her, she is a beaut. So how did you do accuracy wise or where you just breakin her in? I have been saving for a scout myself.

Thank you!
Just breaking her in. I was about 40 yards from my steel plate, and she was shooting a bit low. I believe hickok45's shot a little low as well. Gonna get her sighted in next time. Man, I'll swear, I just cannot get over what a sweet, sweet shooter she is. hickok45 said she was a softer shooter than the SCAR17. I believe it...

That muzzle break on the scout helps a good bit but a standard m14 rifle doesn't kick that bad either. Make sure you lube what needs to be lubed when my rifle was new some of it was caked in grease while other parts where bone dry. I'm glad you feel so fondly of your new favorite rifle, take some pics next time it only gets better the more you shoot it. As far as her shooting low those knobs are meant to turn don't hesitate to play with them until you get it hitting your mark.

Thanx man.
I've got her greased and oiled pretty good I think. I bought a bolt roller greaser too.
That was mighty handy. Shes just as smooth as silk.
