Aimpoint PRO & SOCOM16

I'm looking in to placing an Aimpoint PRO on my SOCOM16. The rail on the SOCOM is about 4 inches long & about 1 inch wide.

Will the PRO fit on that rail?

Would like to hear from those that have this set up and it they have experienced any problems with this platform.

Comments; good bad, ect.

If this combination works, this will be my hog hunting platform for one shot kills.

Yes it will fit. I recommend taking out the spacer on the Aimpoint PRO mount to lower it. It will be a little high. You might need a cheek riser too

I pretty sure if you measure the tube on that aimpoint it will be 30 or 34mm you can order one scope ring and really lower it if you wanted to. Your rifle has a standard pic rail on it, and yes it will ruin a hogs day!

If you get the ultimak m8 rail you will get an absolute co witness with the Aimpoint low ring. But if you don't go thus route the standard rail will work as well. I would however choose a different ring because the OEM mount/ring will sit pretty high even without the spacer. I tried it on mine and it just didn't jive with what I was wanting.

No way to really go wrong if you have a co witness.

Awards Showcase

This is the very reason I went with the Vortex Tactical 30mm ring in low, it will drop the scope almost right down on the rail, and I can co-witness the front sight :
