New SureFire 3 Prong Flash Hider

The new Direct Connect model that allows you to attach a Warden "Blast Deflector." It times on the barrel using shims and requires moving the front sight back to the gas lock.

This one is attached to all USGI M1A with minty Winchester barrel. It averaged 2 moa. Will try again when I pick up the Blast Deflector.

What exactly does a blast deflector do? Just curious.

You were actually able to get a SF3P-762-M14?

I've had one on back order for almost 6 months. Where were you able to source this?

It directs the blast straight forward, away from the dirt or those around you. Sort of like the old Linear Compensators.

I have one for my Saker brake, it turns the muzzle device to a linear compensator. It's a Nice Thing To Do(tm) instead of knocking the fillings out of those around you on the bench.

I'm kinda curious what it does with a flash hider. It's noticeable with a brake as the concussion is directed to the side (right to your benchmates), not so much on a flash hider.

There are some single units floating around, NIP. Probably dealer samples. Keep an eye out on GB, Ebay and various forums, now that SHOT is over.

Saved Searches on GB is one way to try. Google Search every once in a while and you'll find one on a random gun forum.

I've found a few of the legacy SF muzzle devices this way.

I just watched a youtube video comparing various flash suppressors and brakes on an AR. It was amazing how effective some of the suppressors were and how some of the brakes (I assumed they were brakes) could actually attenuate the flash over a bare muzzle.

If you guys want to do a group buy, I can ask what their minimum order is. I have been in contact with them lately. One of my best friends left surefire years ago and still has friends there.

He's supposed to send me one of these when he does another run.

Tony.

YES GROUP BUY! And while we are at it please get them to re-release the M14 brake. It took me almost two years to find one.

I just sent an E-mail. I'll let you all know what he says when he replies. Depending on what he says, I'll check with the admin about a posting a group buy feeler thread.

I think in the past, group buys were meant for guys to get a price break on an item, but for this particular item, I think we just need enough guys to commit just to place a minimum order. If you go to the product description, it says it's a minimum order non-stocked item.

Tony.
