Armscorp JRM?

On GB, rifle with Armscorp marked on heel, side rail stamped JRM, James River Manufacturing) Armscorp Baltimore. Seller says JRM made about 80 receivers for Armscorp? Seems more likely that JRM or JRS made the rifle using Armscorp receivers. If JRM did make the receiver is it cast or forged? I don't see any pix that say forged on the listing. Just curious.

IIRC, JRM bought out Armscorp. They are cast and the last Armscorp receivers made. I'll check my copy of Lee Emerson's M14 Rifle History and Development later to confirm if no one else does first.

I had a rifle built on one of those receivers and had no problems with it.

Thanks from Tommo

This is incredible! I just looked up the listing. It IS the one I owned. I bought it from my friend bustedknuckles, who bought it off this forum. I then sold it back to him and he ended up parting it out. This appears to be the same barreled receiver built up from different parts.

But yes, per M14 Rifle History and Development, Mark Hartman, owner of James River Manufacturing, bought Armscorp USA, Inc. in late 2007 and they produced Armscorp logo M14 receivers from January until March 2008. Lee also states that in the waning years, Lamothermix Corporation (Brewster, NY) supplied the receiver castings to Armscorp USA and JRM.
