La France M14k
OK I'm an idjiot.... What is an M14K? Short summary please for the short bus kid here.
I have owned 2 of them and they are great compact rifles. The theory behind the M60 gas system is that it takes up alot of the recoil for the short rifle. The military ones used regular chrome lined barrels because they fired full auto. The civilian ones used more match grade barrels as they only fired semi-auto. I had a BM-59 folding stock that was fitted by Ron Smith, it was a nice compact rifle. Wish I still had it.
Baker if you need some lacing pliers and spec. stainless steel wire let me know. Ive got a pair around here somewhere. Very nice rifle I wish I could convince the Mrs. that I need a LeFrance because I have the pliers. Cheers Joe
