Range time means a lot more to me now than it did when I was younger. I wasted too much time and ammo just messing around back then.

Thanks from brianns

I scratched the itch on Sunday. I'm still itchy though.

Went out and shot my AR308. Not much wait, traffic was great, no jams. The atmosphere at the range was excellent.

At the Machinegun Nest, Frederick, Md.

Waiting on some parts to arrive so I can put her back together. It's eating me alive knowing that she is just a barreled receiver. I need to shoot her soon or I might crack.

Anybody else get the itch to shoot or do I need to have a second M1a on hand for these times? Just isn't the same shooting other guns I Need the m1a!
I hear you Lurp!

I scratched my itch yesterday with resounding success, but I woke up all itchy again this morning.

Working for a living really blows!

When I get that itch, I just take one down, take her gently to the bench, and softly, carefully clean and oil her up. Then just hold her in my arms with that 1,000 yard stare.

Still waiting for parts. Eyes blood shot curled up in a corner rocking back and forth with my barreled receiver mumbling.

Thanks from hardheaded

I think you need the Dan Akroyd Jimmy Carter to talk you down.

Lurp.
I'm curious about your sub zero experience with the m1a. Do you have to remove lubricant or use special oil. Has it ever frozen up from being out in sleet or snow?

Everyone can breathe now my rifle is back to working order with the hand guard on the right way. All is good in the world.

Doug while i was out in the woods i wonder that too. I thought about keeping the gun in the truck overnight so there would be no change in the temp with the rifle, but i kept my m1a inside. Because i kept the rifle inside all the snow started to melt on my rifle and after 2 hours outside it froze. I did keep my front lens cover open too with my Mk 4 scope and snow did settle in but did not effect anything. When the time came to pull the trigger after 4 hours of freezing my butt off, gun went boom and i hit exactly where i was aiming. Deer walked 20-30yrds and done.

I did use the EBR 3 point sling too, no rattling or clanking and worked fine. I know there are people who hate 3 point slings.

You only need one hand to shoot :)

Yes, working on that. I have plenty of things to shoot but only 1 m14 that's not cool, has to be fixed!
