It's a basic Prostaff 3-9X40 BDC reticle. I haven't weighed the barrel by itself yet. I've done a few GI profile 16" but that is the only medium profile I've done so far. There will definitely be more though. I'm very pleased with it. I'll be testing two of the lightweight versions this weekend that have the GI profile 16" barrel. In theory it should be more rigid as well. They are short chambered 1-10 twist non lined. I'm excited to see how they shoot.

Thanks from spsosicmcise

What, the receiver and barrel? Sorry don't have the time right now to be in here alot. Is there a date when these will be in full production? Jeff please answer, or at least provide a window. Many thanks!

The receivers have been sparingly offered here and only here so far. There are a few out there. I have not offered a 16.5" barrel yet as it is still in testing. I plan to offer a barreled receiver very soon, but likely only a couple until after NRA show. The next 50 receivers are about half way through production. The barrels will be finished around the same time. The protoypes have been cut down new barrels that I've threaded to 9/16-24 after the gas lock threads. The next ones will be threaded during the profile turning manufacturing process (assuming we move forward with this as a production barrel).

How did the lightweight barrels end up shooting?

So far I'm very pleased. This target is from Monday evening testing a 16.25" GI profile barrel at 25 yards rapid fire with a red dot. I wanted to get the barrel warmed up and keep it hot to see how everything reacted. I will test it more for accuracy @ 100 yds now that I've got a couple hundred rounds through the barrel.

Bump for a great thread!

I'm also interested in knowing more about these barrels, as well as the flash suppressor / compensator used here.

Thanks, Jeff!
