This is one the three left over from the first 250 batch that were delivered to the USMC. They made an extra three of them, and this is one of them. It's original purpose was for a company that make rings for the USMC and others. At one point I held two of the three in my hands, but I could only get one of them. The other GG&G mount that I held was sold mounted on a Class 3 M14. I had the mount, and much money and years later this what it turned into.
Well whether it is 250 or 254, and whether they made an extra three or four, one is coming to Kentucky.

Really cool rifle, I hope to build one very similar.

Ren

Nice rifle. I just ordered a black M2A stock like yours to put my XM21 in. Can't wait.

I was intrigued by that stock. Looked it up... it cost nearly as much as I paid for my rifle 20 years ago!

My ultimate M1A will have a McMillan stock of some sort.

I have a similar build that's almost complete, I missed out on the GG&G mount that was recently picked up by Ren. I do have a Brookfield mount ... but it's not the GG&G ...
That is one sweet build.

I have one of the GG&G mounts too. I have a GG&G set of scope rings that I got with the mount too. Both the rings and the mount are very well made. They just have that "quality look" to them. I wish GG&G would make another batch or two of the split rail type mounts. Sadlak and Brookfield precision tool are both excellent mounts, but variety is always good.
Evey thing I have, and have had, made by GG&G has been very well made, and did the task it was made for perfectly.
I plan to order a M2A in the next year hopefully. I would really like a carbon fiber version of the M2A, but it does not look like that will happen anytime soon.
Congrats Ren on your GG&G score. I started to claim it, but I have not yet built a rifle for the one I already have. Re, If you decide you do not want the gg&g mount in the future, I will buy it from you or trade for it.

Thanks from XM25Ren

I just ordered an M2A from Fulton Armory. They have a couple left. Not many though. I'm glad I was able to snag one.

Thanks from Snyper762

Shaun, I place this GG&G mount right there with the Brookfield Light weight mount you have and value it accordingly. It won't be sold, maybe a trade but for something equally as rare and valuable.

I had been wanting one of these for a long time, maybe your and mrmark99 passing on it meant it was destined to be mine.

Ren
