I cant Believe What the Springfield Armory M1A's are Selling For Now,I Just Purchased My 1st M1A about 2 Months Ago for 1340.00 and was wanting to get another, now the Same Gun,just the Basic going for 22 to 2300.00,I think for That Kind of Money I will get Croc to Build me a Barreled Action,I am almost Positive I will be just as Happy, not that I think there is anything wrong with Springfields.

You will be way more happy with an SEI than with an SAI. They cost more for a reason.

Thanks from willcball

I'm doing a build through Croc right now and he's a great guy. He can answer any question you might have about an M1A.

My local shop had one for 1700. sold quick . J and G has well used ones for 2200 and they havent sold out in a month plus. At the gunshow I attended 3 weeks ago they were going for 2200 to 2800. About the same on gunbroker

At this point its worth whatever it can be bought for.

Everyone says get USGI parts blah blah. But the reality is, are you going to use your Springfield M1A in a war and put it through the paces? Even if, a springfield will do you just fine.

Now if you want a super accurate one a LRB M25 would probably be the way to go if you want to spend 3K.

Then again, you could just get a bolt action if you want to do that.

Everything is way inflated right now and it wont be coming down in price anytime soon.

Get in line to kick me in the a$$ after myself and my kids for selling TFL 063 all handpicked TRW parts on here for $2200. Kids are threatening to have me comitted.

Now I don't Know what to ask for the rest of the girls. Might have to put them on gun joker and let the other crazies fight over them.

Happy St Patricks day to all, especially those Irish Marines.

The wife has been pouring Jameson Irish coffees down my neck since 7 AM. Actually she is still in bed.

O'Sullivan

I paid $1600 for a SAI Standard a couple of weeks ago. I had to wait a month for it to get to my lgs. A few days later, I saw the same gun for sale at a gun show for $1900. The guy had two of them. They both sold for his asking price within half an hour.

seems like the prices are dropping some, on gunbroker, I was considering putting my scout with sage ebr on, just to see what it would hit, but ,ight just reconsider.

It isn't prices from SAI, it is the prices being set by the local GS and market.
Locally, I see SKS going from $500 to some jackass trying to sell his hens teeth rare Chinese SKS.
Another guy is trying to sell his standard for $4k.

Be patient, as I see prices for ARs coming down. A month ago DPMS oracles were going for $1800. Now they are $1200.

We went to the Buria and Madina shows near Cleveland yesterday looking for Garand wood and 9 mm reloading fodder, wife wanted a 9 in Feb. late to the party. Anyway the prices are through the roof and the only thing I came home with was 1500 rounds of brass. I did see 2 Norinco's for around 1600 or there abouts. The only deal was a GI glass stock for 60 but like I said was looking for Garand wood or I would have picked it up for the M1A. I guess I'll get a stock from the CMP. Dan

I paid $2000 for my scout a few weeks ago. Steep, but I couldn't help but worry California would pull the same crazy crap as NY
