Looking to pick one of these up and I have been reading everything I can but before I order one, I have a few questions:

1. The rail will or will not install with a shimmed gas system of my SOCOM16?

2. Iron sights can be used?

2. Yes, if no optical devices are mounted on the rail.

Thanks, emailed them too with same answers but I wanted to know from someone outside the company.
