Finally got the rifle finished. (EBR)

Build details:
-Springfield M-1A SN#1264XX
-Sage Intl. Enhanced Battle Rifle Chassis, Mod 0 with 5 screw cover.
-Criterion 18.5 inch chorme lined, GI contour barrel.
-Sadlak NM spring guide.
-Smith Enterprise DC Vortex flash hider
-Smith Enterprise USN GLFS and tritium front sight.
-Smith Enterprise enhanced bolt stop.
-Harris Bipod with swivel.
-Larue LT608 rail.
-Trijicon ACOG TA31G.
-Eagle Industries EBR sling.
All other parts are original SA from the starter rifle.

I've been slowly piecing together this rifle since I got back from Iraq in 2009, and now it is more or less complete. I may add a better piston and gas cylinder, as well as a dummy selector. I went for the USN Mk. 14 Mod 0 look, I wanted something that look and worked like the real deal that is on deployment with special operations units overseas. Hopefully a range report will be out next week.

Thanks from TREADMARKS, 1KPerDay and CNelson

Thankyou for your service.
Your project looks great and can serve as a model for the rest of us what a "Been There, Done That" M14 looks like now.
Re: Upgrades.

Obviously see how it shoots before pulling parts and try to get the best ammo you can afford.
There have been user reports different gas pistons can improve groups, and most agree Sadlak is a good start.

In the past with this rifle I have been using nato surplus and American Eagle .308 150gr. FMJ with good results.

That's a sweet looking rig dude! How's the eye relief with that ACOG?

It's a little short, but it hasn't bit me yet.

It feels great to me now, I just got the barrel swapped. It had a medium weight 22in before. It felt like carrying a SAW around.

Nice rifle! I'm kind of surprised that you went with a larue 608 for an ACOG though, If I was going that route I personally would have gone with the smith acog mount. It would let you get the acog just as far back and sit a little lower to the bore. You'd just have to get a top rail relieved for a side scope mount. To each his own I guess, and yours is a beaut.

P.S. I like that chest rig too.

Dig the helmet, reminds me of one of the character models from Modern Warfare II

What kind of magazine pouches are those? Tactical Tailor?
