thanks Paul and that is a nice piece your holding as well, how do you like the NF scope? I was thinking of putting that one on my SEI Receiver Built Crazy Horse JAE G3 build which is pretty much identicle to this one but going on a JAE G3 so i figured a little more than 6x would be nice

I like it a LOT! My JAE M25 has a $3600 USO scope as it's set up with a 20MOA rail for extreme range. With the Sage Mod 0 LRB M25, I want something smaller, lighter and more compact but still about the best you can get. I'm so satisfied with the compact NightForce that when I find a tan Sage Mod 1 at a reasonable price, I'll get the same NF for it, except this time a Mil Dot version so I have experience with both. I prefer MOA, but want to play with both. I already have some Krieger 18.5" SS barrels in the safe waiting for that build. My brother just order a LRB M25 on last Friday and that scope and rings.

The one slight DISADVANTAGE of the NF 1.8-10 compact is like all NF scopes, it's SFP so you can only range accurately at 10x. But, if your far enough away that you need to worry about that, 10X is not a problem. If your CQB, then your probably at 1.8x or so and you don't care. Still it's the FFP and ability to range at all magnifications of the USO is nice. They both are surprisingly bright at night.

Here's another pic that shows the ring height better.

Nice setups low619 and Paul.

Paul, I got my USO weighed with rings, 1.8 pounds. Close to 1.6 pounds without rings. USO said they've refined the design to make it lighter and I'd say they succeeded. No it's not 1.4 pounds like the NF but I think .2 pound is a small trade off for what you get with a USO. The downside is the eyepiece makes you mount it higher, I could probably squeak by with 1" rings but it would be right on top of the rear sight. Right now I have a litter over 1mm clearance (5 clicks on my rear sight) using the 20MOA rail.
