Quantum Hot Sauce grease, and Strike Hold oil.
It works well in this hot, salt water environment.

Anybody running FrogLube yet? I've converted all of my other weapons to it, just waiting for some M1A reviews.

Yes, I put the paste on the bolt and op rod guide.

I also mixed just a bit of slip ewl oil into it.

Still a paste, have yet to fire it.

Although I'll probably only apply Frog lube to my outer areas of the gun, while using Slip Ewl in the barrel and a generic grease.

Reason being once FL hits 110 degrees F, it melts and it will melt into a liquid which would be bad for places that need grease.

I guess I'm hanging with a smart crowd, lots of Amsoil users. Another Amsoil user here.

For oil I've been using Ballistol and liking it pretty well. It does real well against corrosion, is great with corrosive ammo and lubes well enough. I'd rather use a motor oil for the oiled items, but I really like the "CLP" functionality of Ballistol and the fact that it's actually good for wood and leather. Add in that it's non-toxic and there's just too many reasons to keep using it. Pretty much the do everything product that really does do everything.

Now on my little black rifles I do use Amsoil synthetic motor oil. Because they just don't need the cleaning that the M1A or Garand needs. And I run the ARs pretty hard.

for the greased areas I use marine grade bearing grease on the M1A's and the M1 Garands

for oil I use Mobil 1 these days. No preference on the weight, I use 5W20 through 20W50, it just depends on what I have left over from oil changes in the vehicles (I tip up the empty jugs - quarts or the bigger jugs - and let them sit for a day or two and then drain the remaining oil into the little GI squeeze bottles).

MILITEC-1 for grease and issued CLP for oil. Once I find the time, I'll treat parts with the MILITEC-1 oil.

Hard to believe that you black rifles are lower maintenance than your Alpha. All that nasty crap blasted back into the reciever... hmm.

I use CLP, Tetra and Lubriplate 130-AA. I've heard that a 40S&W case makes a good lubticator delivery for the bolt roller... need to plug the primer pocket with the tip of a small syringe and see how that works.

I still use GI lubriplate and synthetic oil. I made a bolt roller lubricator from a tire stem and I fill this with grease and hold it in place over the roller. Then I apply about 20 psi pressure from an inflator and the job is done.
