Popernack Books & Militaria. A great place to spend some money.

I came across a cool military collectibles store a while back and have found several nice and hard to find items there at fair prices. I had not heard of it, so I assume many here have not heard of it either. No, I do not work for them or get anything from mentioning them to friends. He adds new items fairly frequently, so check the site out often to see the newly listed goods. Popernack Books and Militaria is the name of the site. Here is a link to it... http://www.popernack.com/shop/shop.php

The owner has been very nice and helpful to me. He has helped me get a few hard to find items, and is on the lookout for a couple other items for me. Enjoy!

I have purchased M14 and M1 parts from him in the past. He has a wide range of parts, accessories, collectibles, field gear, and more.
I check out his site often, and see new items listed fairly frequently that I would have purchased, but was to late. I plan to try and check his site out more often. He is willing to keep an eye out for certain items too if you ask him.

Well I'd have to say "caveat emptor", check and verify.
Looking over his site I came across these M8A1 sheaths listed as WW2, they aren't.

This is an example of the first post WW2 contract issued for the M8A1 sheath made in 1953. Nothing wrong with it it just isn't WW2.
All the M8 and M8A1 sheaths made during WW2 were marked "B.M. Co"
and they were only made during WW2.

But be careful, some of the copies made overseas have been made with a B.M. Co marked throat. But they don't look much like the originals.

Maybe the description is mismatched to some stock photo's that don't show the actual sheaths, but I'd want them to confirm that beforehand.

it is always good, and necessary to me, to be well educated about the item you are looking for or about to buy. I am sure he would take it back if not as described, but like you said, it is best to ask first to confirm.
