Post Anyone out and about in Kansas City?

Anyone here live in or around Kansas City? I live in Kansas City, Kansas and I was just wondering if there were any M1A/M14 nuts in my part of the woods.

Anybody want to go shoot sometime soon? If you guys know of a range longer than 100m, I would love to hear about it.

Platte County here. Longest range I know of is Mill Creek Rifle Club in DeSoto, KS but it is a members only club. I usually shoot at Parma Woods on on my place.

I'm up in Kearney, MO. NOT a fan of Parma Woods, the range masters there aren't very friendly in my experience. The range is only 100 yards as well.

I've heard of one up North near Gower, MO that has a 300 yard range. I've not been yet. I'd love to find a place to do 600 yards and 1000 yards, but there isn't much if anything here in MO :(

Manhattan, but willing to travel for fun times with firearms. We have a private range here we are working on expanding.

Bonner Springs here. The only ranges I know of that go past 100 yards are all private. Pioneer Gun Club, Tri-County, and Mill Creek. I have friends who are members at all 3 so I wind up taggin along with them when they go. But I am going to try and get a membership out at Mill Creek this year.

And I second not liking Parma Woods. The rangemasters seem to enjoy yelling at people and they were at one point checking ammo with a magnet. If the magnet sticks, you're not shooting that ammo. Not sure if they are still doing that.

KCMO is my home town. Unfortunately I am stealing the souls of today's youth for tomorrow's wars out of Jefferson City

You could go to the Kansas State Rifle Assn. headquarters there in Bonner Springs, and ask Stoneking why they don't have one range to hold matches here is KS...since your close
