Tactical scope fer ar

Just got a Burris a 536 illuminated dialed in on me rail. Wish it had a little longer eye relief but got at cost and hasn't moved yet, even after dropping by accident while broken down cleaning my ar. Been making great groups out to 200 with factory rounds.. Any comments on this scope or complaints with others? Mine seems to being ok so fer.

Are you saying that you think some part of the scope is broken? What is that part?

i guess it is ok scope , but to me the reticle is to busy for my taste.

i would prefer the steiner P4Xi for about the same money, the burris has a built on mount where the P4 does not

Steiner has a very well defined red dot with bdc . the burris has so much red circles, lines , dot that it obscures the target ( to me ) .

but burris does build a good scope ,but i'm not a fan ( i did own one a year or two ago )

Not broken just dropped it but still dead on after dropping. Just wondered what others think of this model.

There are so many options out there for optics it really comes down to what you want to do with it, how rough you're going to be and how much you want to spend. My wife has been running a Burris MTAC without concern (3-gun) and Vortex has some good value options. For a hard use scope, I'd look to the higher end of Vortex (heavy), Leupold, Trijicon, Steiner or Kahles. Then it comes down to price, reticle and first vs. second focal plane.
