Vortex optics

If I "had" an AR I think Vortex makes some pretty good Optics like the StrikefireII and the 3x magnifier. Anyone out there who has an AR have an opinion on these optics?

Thanks

In regard to Vortex. They are good optics for the money. Vortex has one of the best if not the best warranties in the industry, period. Their customer service from my experience is second to none.
On to choices.
There are many optics/sighting systems that work well with the AR platform, from many different manufactures.
In regard to what model you choose you have to ask yourself a couple of important questions;
1. What is the weapons primary purpose going to be?
2. What is your budget going to allow you to spend on optics?
Once you have answered these questions your field of options will be narrowed down significantly.

I have a Sparc, and I've been favorably impressed by it. The mount that comes with it wouldn't be my first choice, but it fits mounts designed for higher cost optics just fine. Their customer service is outstanding, I've never had as good customer service from any other gun related company.

Support is important. A friend of mine has an Eotech and likes it very much and he should for what he paid for it. I like the idea of getting the Strikefire II and the 3x for about the same price as an Eotech.

Vortex scopes are a good value, I have a Diamond Back on my SAI M1A, and a Strike Eagle on my PTR 91. I use Primary Arms scopes on my 107CR and my 104FR.

Great information from all...The Sparc seems to be highly regarded something like an M4 flattop with a Red dot sight of some kind seems like the way to go. I'm a little ashamed just started reading about Co-Witness with irons don't really think about that with my SA Standard.

I personally like the Burris FastFire3 with ARF3 mount. Vortex makes pretty good stuff starting with the Viper line and up. I had a Diamondback completely fail 3 times on a 30-06 bolt action.

The Vortex red dot sights seem to be a good product, though I have no experience with them.

I had the strikefire on my socom and really liked it. I had two but I bought one used off eBay that didn't work and I thought I could fix it. I tried, but eventually gave up and called their CS and explained the story. Told them I bought it used and even though it wasn't under their VIP warranty they replaced it with an overnighted one no questions asked.

What do you mean it wasn't covered? The warranty stays with the product, no matter what. Does their warranty expire on electronics? I didn't think it did.

I've multiple Vortex optics and they're all excellent quality optics for their price point.
I had one issue with an early Strikefire, their CS & Warranty was excellent, never another problem.

I couldn't be happier with my Vortex Razor HD. The company was great at answering question over the phone before I bought it. Afterwards when I couldn't dial the turret down enough to zero it, I called, and without calling me a dumass they explained that I needed to take the turret off, and adjust under it because of the zero stop feature. :-)

Thanks from Dougboffl
