I understand that I will be a newbie for a while yet. However my first scope was a Vortex Crossfire 3-9X40, nice clean scope. Shortly after I was at a gun show and located a (cheap) Tasco 4-16X40 (used). I so fully understand the Tasco is a lower end scope However when mounted and zero'd this sweetie works very well at 100yds. At this point the Tasco will remain.

Oh Yeah! I know about them already, have had the pleasure of playing with one before.
Which is why I got this one.
I was looking at 9mm PCC's and had forgotten about the CX4, it popped up in a image search for a CMMG Mk9 and BaDaBoom, CX4!

Here it is with it's SPARC II.

Thank you all for the input/feedback
I have an original first gen Strikefire on my S&W M&P15, it's like a Timex, "...it takes a licking and keeps on ticking."
They came with screw in Doublers, which I never really liked.
The X3 Magnifiers are supposed to be decent, wouldn't mind getting one for my Strikefire.

Several other Vortex optics on various firearms too.

Thanks from Dougboffl

I have a strike fire and a sparc II and both are great red dots for the money.
Not cheap just not overly expensive.
The strikefire has been used on several of my AR's over the years and its still works perfectly the 3X attachment is worthless to me but some might find it useful.
The sparc II is on my belt fed Ares AR and its has been absolutely perfect.

Hey CH, it looks like Berretta changed the foregrip a little. I mostly use the open sights on mine, but I do have a PA red dot that I am thinking of putting on it, I have taken off the cheap laser. I have also taken out the but spacer, making it about 3/4" shorter.

Thanks from Dougboffl

Yeah, Beretta checkered the foregrip for their MX4 automatic.
Then they figured it was easier to make all Storms with the same upper half/checkering.

I wish they'd checkered the back of the pistol grip too.
I'm seriously contemplating stippling mine.

Right now the trigger group is off to Sierra Papa for their 'trigger group' and 'guide rod kit' upgrades.
Looking forward to getting it back with a much improved trigger.

I'd rather go with a surplus Aimpoint Compm2 than a Chinese optic. They can be had for around $250. I put one on my CX4 using a 30mm Warne ring.

CH you are right, this is a Vortex thread, so I need to pay to play, how about a Vortex Strike Eagle on my PTR 91

and I have a Vortex Diamondback on my SAI Standard M14 clone, just can't seem to find a picture of that right now. I really like the Vortex scopes. Those and the Primary Arms scopes that I have for my AK clones have worked well for me.

I have two Strike Eagles, two Razor red dots, a Viper PST 2.5-10, and a Gen II Viper PST 3-15 on order. Very good glass on all of them.
