Black hills 52, 69 or 77 ammo...

My cali-legal mk12 mod 0 clone project is more or less together, has a KAC rear sight and a YHM gas block until I can find an appropriate ARMS sight and PRI gas block. Still need a mark 4 of some kind as well...

My LGS has Hornady Black ammo. Just came to the market recently. .223 75gr hpbt for 14.99. I was at cabelas recently and they had some Nosler 5.56 77gr otm SSA ammunition for 15.19 on sale. Both shoot good. Otherwise Sgammo.com has IMI mk262 mod 1 5.56 77gr otm ammo for $15 a box. These are going for about .75 cents around were black hills is going for over a dollar most places. All shoot great.

Weather was nice enough to go out an zero the scope. After using dirt technology at 50yd (shooting into the dirt burm to see where it splashes compared to where you aimed to get an idea of how far off I am) I took her to the 100yd range. The pic with the grouping was my first grouping at 100 with her. I got really excited when i walked up to check because i wasnt really trying. I just wanted to see where i was. By the end of the day im getting .5moa with this gun. Couldnt be happier my first .5moa gun!

Was shooting some new ammo i never seen before Hornady Black edition .223 75gr BTHP. Scheels was selling it for 14.99. Since the Regular 5.56 hornady 75gr BTHP was going for 21.99, I bought everything they had in stock.

Overall a happy camper
Excellent build. I was saving funds for a Leupold Mk4 for my Mod 0, bud ended up building a Mod-H ""Holland" clone instead. Now I'll need two Mk4 scopes and two AEM5 suppressors.

My Daniel Defense M4s love the 77gr bullets. I still have a bunch of federal 55gr I am shooting up but I will probably only load or buy 77gr bullets going forward. The Black Hills ammo is especially accurate but pricey.

Awards Showcase

I just finished a SPR for a friend, chambered and turned down a Shilen 8T CM barrel blank for it and had it Melonited. The Allen Engineering system I think is the best mounting out there, I am impressed. I prefer it over the Surefire system I have on my weapons.

When I first saw the barrel print, I was wondering why such a specific dimensions were spelled out, but when I opened and read the instructions on the mounting system it made sense. I think I will make one for me and relegate the Surefire for another application. For truck gun or travelling gun the SPR with 18 barrel and the Allen Engineering can is the way to go. The only thing I change from a standard SPR barrel contour is the breech end, I made his 3.0 long from the chamber tenon shoulder, compared to the 2.0 in a SPR original.

Thanks from Lurp

Shot the PRI MK12 for the first time today.
Used the below AMMO.
Federal FC262
Black hills 77 OTM
PMC XTAC 77
PPU 75 match

The federal surprised the hello out of me being the best I shot. All Ammo shot under 3/4 MOA. I had also had another target with 3 shots in a clover within .25 MOA...other shot was right and made it .80 MOA.

The target on right was obviously me breathing. Also this was done with a mil spec trigger installed I haven't put a two stage in it yet.
