PRI is not too bad. Get the 1/7 twist barrel. I've got a Mod 1 that I've put together and I'm working on a second one for my bride. If you want a Mod 1 get with Kevin at HCS. I know that the hold up on Mod 1's is the Knight Rail. I know they did a run in 2016 but I don't know if there are any more out there in the retail market until KAC does another run.

Lurp,

Funny to me how no one questioned who "the warden" is you refer to in the original post. All the married guys know exactly who you mean!

yes from what i hear one of the 2.5-8x mk4 has mk262 turrets on that was specifically for the mk12. i would rather have 3.5-10x though.

Almost done

Just missing scope rings and a few misc stuff. Also I ordered a ergo grip the a2 pistol grip sucks its way to small for my hands. I dropped a geissele SSA trigger in too. It's better than the stock trigger you get but hopefully it smooths out a bit after a few hundred rounds. Definitely not my m1a trigger.

Brownells is still out of stock on there a1 Lower so I picked up a Anderson lower at the LGS for now. With the scope I was going to go with a 3.5-10 Mk 4 but ordered a 2.5-8 which has Mk 262 mod 1 turrets 77gr (more cool factor I guess) just to see it and what it looks like. Glass was still awesome and it's a bit shorter. Only dislike is the adjustment for parallax is on the eye piece. So now your len cover rotates with the eye piece.

I order the mod 0 gen 3 upper from PRI. Very fast turn around. Everything looks awesome plus they test fire the upper for you and gave me the test target with one ragged hole (@ 30yards). Plus they threw in a bad@ss mk12 mod 1 t shirt and a catalog of everything they make with pics and model numbers. Also got a 10 rnd waffle mag too. Very pleased would recommend.

Thanks from swagbrdr and mac75

You can get used A1 or A2 stocks off ebay with the buffers etc for a more "authentic" look.

The lower is the hard part, very few sources for an "official" looking one.

Heavy rifles but it's an AR with a free floated match grade (usually douglas) barrel so they shoot well.

One I'm doing will have a ballistic advantage barrel to save weight, my mk12 mod 1 clone uses that same barrel in nitride finish and will put 5 rounds into under an inch @ 100 which is my threshold for "good enough"

She is coming along slowly.

Still looking for a A1 lower but I'm out of cash right now so I'm in no hurry. Scope rings should be in later this week. Also got lucky and was able to trade my PRI rear sight for a #40 Arms rear sight.

picked up a Anderson lower at the LGS for now so i can shoot. these AR's are pretty addicting with how simple you can slap one together. Almost tempted to just get a 80% A1 lower.

I will post better pics when she is more complete.

As of now I have: PRI mk12 mod 0 gen 3 upper (with arms #40 rear sight on the way)
Anderson Multi Cal lower
Mk4 2.5-8x36mm illuminated TMR with Arms #22 medium rings
Geissele SSA trigger
A2 stock
Ergo grip

Just need a KAC bipod adapter, Harris bipod, and I'm actually going to get the Allen engineering can for this gun.

Weather was nice enough to go out an zero the scope. After using dirt technology at 50yd (shooting into the dirt burm to see where it splashes compared to where you aimed to get an idea of how far off I am) I took her to the 100yd range. The pic with the grouping was my first grouping at 100 with her. I got really excited when i walked up to check because i wasnt really trying. I just wanted to see where i was. By the end of the day im getting .5moa with this gun. Couldnt be happier my first .5moa gun!

Was shooting some new ammo i never seen before Hornady Black edition .223 75gr BTHP. Scheels was selling it for 14.99. Since the Regular 5.56 hornady 75gr BTHP was going for 21.99, I bought everything they had in stock.

Overall a happy camper

Thanks from CNelson

just an fyi the adjustment on the rear eye piece is the diopter setting . the mk4 2.5x8 does not have a parallax adjustment . I have a mk4 2.5x8 with mildot and t1 turrets . they are great scopes .
