Unhappy One More AR

I needed a lower for a xtra upper I had. Ended up buying two. So now I had a xtra lower. The Thursday before the election the msm caused me to think the election was going to go bad. So I hit the buy now on a complete upper. Now after the election the price dropped $100. But that's the way it goes some time you eat the bear and sometime the bear eats you.

I didn't panic, I had been thinking about building a 16 inch M4 style to go along with my standard A2. Once I found out hillary was running, I figured if I was going to do it, now would be the time.
I built a basic M4 clone off of a spikes tactical punisher lower. I also bought a 10 pack of Pmags.
But other than a little ammo, that's it for pre election purchases.

I have noticed one thing. Right now is definitely a buyers market for AR's. If you ever thought about buying one, now would be the time, as the market is flooded.

I bought an LE 6920 around a year ago. Up into the election, I was focused on ammo, as well as getting a few 'dream' handguns. M1A is next!

It's SRO in Ca. gun stores now. Anything with a "Bullet Button" is flying off the shelves. Some shops are so stacked up with items on hold/"in jail" for the required waiting period have stopped accepting transfers because they don't have enough room for safe/legal storage. I'd expect that some places are still struggling with keeping even M1 family type rifles on hand, too. Also the "parts" needed to go featureless are selling fast, too, as well as decent AR tools for doing conversions, etc.

Since the election we are moving a lot fewer AR's and other 'military' type rifles as well. That said, mags are still moving as is ammunition. With tax 'refunds' soon arriving I anticipate business will pick up on the firearms real soon.

Leading up to this past election I just stocked up on primers and powder.

However after the election I heard something on local Boston talk show that a lot of gun shops are hurting because they stocked up on stuff expecting (as did myself) that Hillary would win. When Trump won the panic evaporated overnight. The talk host said basically go support your local gun store and buy a "celebration" gun instead of a "panic" gun.

I took that advise and bought my M1A.

Whenever Obama said I should not be able to have something, I went out and bought another.

Just my personal way of beating the man. Now I got more than I need.

I heard lots of vendors at the last gun show I went to, lamenting the loss of their best salesmen ever.
