I didn't exactly panic but the looming election did spur me to acquire something I had wanted for a long time, a Colt Delta H Bar. Got the whole kit including the hard case and a Harris Bipod as well. Got it pretty reasonable off GB. No plans to sell it.

Meh. Didn't panic 8 years ago, although I was in surgery all day on election day 2008 having 2 separate procedures done on my leg and spending several weeks on narcotics afterward tended to ease the blow.

I've got 2 complete AR's built, one lower completed/ready for an upper and 8 more lowers in the safe for future builds. I'm wrapping up an 03A3 build, assembling parts for an 03A4 build, a sporterized 1903 is waiting to get put back original and got a garand receiver sitting here as a paperweight for now until I start assembling parts for it.

I'm sitting on about 8K of .308/7.62NATO, 6K of 7.62X39, 2K in 5.45X39, 5K in factory 5.56NATO, twice that in reloaded ammo and god only knows how much 9mm I have. Reloading brass? 10K each of most everything easily and access to several hundred pounds of once fired 5.56 and assorted pistol brass literally across the street from me available at scrap price by the pound.

I do need more M14 mags, other than that I'm okay..

Awards Showcase

I had two to three for sale. I would like to get another AK, and a 45 and then focus on gold and silver.
I went to the Chantilly gun show yesterday and there was lower attendance than I expected and some nice prices. AR parts are dirt cheap right now, better stock up if you want any. Don't become complacent and think we are out of the woods yet. We have a long struggle ahead.

I bought some parts and mags real cheap as I expected the elections to go the other way. I can return them and get my money back, sell them and probably make a small profit, or keep them and wait for a future panic. Haven't decided what I'm going to do yet.

In California the battle continues, buy plenty of AR's and M1A/M14's, mags, ammo and cleaning supplies.... before Jan. 2017

I'll probably do that with most of it. Some I may return. I still haven't decided what I'll do. Normal price increases will probably happen with the start of the year anyway. And technically the real presidential election doesn't happen till Dec 19 when the electoral collage votes. Highly doubtful it will go the other way but as they say the fat lady hasn't sung yet.

I almost bought parts to finish the lowers I have. But something in the pit of my empty bank account said no. So now I wait a bit and prices should come down a bit and I can build a few uppers. Doing 1 .556 rifle and 1 ..300 blackout pistol.

I don't think prices will come down unless a vendor bought more to inventory in anticipation of a Hillary win. But then retailers are also looking at making sales and reducing inventory numbers before closing their 2016 sales and inventoried stock $ numbers.

I noticed that a few retailers were "out of stock" a month or so before the election. Bastards were sitting of stuff looking to jack the prices. Amazingly everybody is in stock just after the election. I know larue has a good price on stealth barrels through the end of the year and might go to rainier arms for some .300 parts while they have end of the year deals.
