No ar's bought recently but I have two ak's to finish building. After that I'll be stocking deep on brass, powder, primers and pills. Finally got the sammichmaker on board with getting three or four extra canned good every week for the just in case stash.

I thought about buying a couple of AR Lowers, but Re Thunk the Situation and bought 20K of CCI LR Primers, and a respectable amount of BLC2 to go with my 4 buckets of LC brass. Won't have to worry about Ammo for a Long time and it will give me something to do in my Old Age.

I have built a couple of gun on the Anderson receivers, they seem to be of decent quality. I have a couple of older Olympic Arms I built in the 90's that have thousands of rounds through them and they have been just fine, I don't know why they were bad mouthed so bad.
I went into the gun store just to buy one receiver to use on a 300 BO pistol build that will be a SBR one of these days but thought what the hell, I might as well buy a few so I wouldn't have to pay for more back ground checks later, we have to pay $25 for our BG✓ here in Nevada unless you have have a CCW and I have not got around to doing it yet.
I am not trying to build match guns out of them just shooters, I would love to build another M14/M1A rifle but parts are too much these days and I already have two Fulton rifles I built and I don't have any more parts sets.

Almost walked out with the new Colt 20" a4 but left with a great deal on a couple G34 gen4's and a Beretta M9a3. (Take's up less room and I'm good on long guns).

I thought about that long and hard. Buying a complete 308 won out.

Over the next 6-months, I'd expect it to be a buyers market for all things and calibers AR, including ammo.

With the threat of a federal ban gone (or even anything less intrusive), and the rush to get guns-n-ammo on the market before the Hillcrats could do anything, there's a glut now.

It is, or soon will be, a buyers' market, and dealer competition for ARs and ammo sales should drive prices down.

In the last few weeks, I went out and bought 4 anderson lowers for $55 each out the door. I have too many AR's but the recent birth of my son made me do it.. I will be buying a PA10 lower when they come available again, just in case..

I don't really see prices getting much less than they are now.

Since I never liked the M-16 Mattel , It is swell, when I was in the USMC, heck I didn't want to change from the M1 to the M14 back then, hated to change from brown shoes to black!
I didn't know beans about the AR 15, LR308 etc.
I got the itch in 2014 and decided to buy a complete rifle new, got a DPMS LR308 Oracle 16" at great discount. I have used it as a learning tool. Changing trigger, buffer, and several other parts. I have joined the AR308 forum and learned to appreciate the platform. There is a lot of frustration of "building" a AR from different parts picked up from various vendors because of difference in specs. They are back in third place behind my M1A and M1 Mini-14 and Winchester model 94 rifles.

Warning! Be very careful about putting those black rifles next to each other! They tend to multiply faster than rabbits! LOL!!!
