How can one warrant plastic?

Has anyone noticed that SAI put a bayonet lug on the new AR rifle but will not put a bayonet lug on the flash suppressor on their M1A???? It tells me that the parts are subcontracted out.

They are too late with this.

If they wanted to get in this market they should have made theirs better somehow. Not just the run of the mill ar.

And way to overhype a plain old ar!!!

Thanks from Snyper762

It's a god thing ARs are easy to disassemble. It makes it easier to break them down and put in the dumpster with a smashed receiver when you want more space in your safe. I say this because there are so many manufacturers all chipping the price down that a used one has almost no value these days. If you go to a gun show you'll see they practically can't give the away.

BCM said that the forearm will be released to the public in the coming months. I have been wanting that exact type from the for some time, to put on my girl friends mid length m4 with some keymod.

If I were in the market for an AR I'd buy something without furniture that I could outfit to my tastes. With all the available parts nowadays its a waste of money to buy one with parts you'll end up removing and throwing in the junk pile. And who wants a standard front sight base and non free floating handguard with so many inexpensive free floating handguards availabe? Actually, Brownells offers such a rifle:

Im not sure what a "forearm" is but B5 systems already makes a non free floating plastic keymod handguard.

Doesn't surprise me, everyone is jumping on the bandwagon. I don't want to be too critical though, it can mean more rifles in the hands of the right Americans.
