I've owned four completely different SA guns - two .45 1911s, one 9mm 1911, and one Scout Squad .308.

Each and every one needed multiple trips back to the factory to get them running right. And even then they all had issues afterwards.

Definitely going to pass on a SAI AR15.

Didn't they try to sell some in the mid 80s?

I just can't understand why a flat top upper receiver is used with that triangle front site
The trouble with the A1s was mounting a scope on it 6 " above the bore never could get a scope to sit right on top of the carry handle
Now the flat tops are out putting the scope right down there where it belongs
But you have to raise it high enough to clear the front sight
Never understood that one

Thanks from conditionone

You can't see the optic through the scope of it around a 4x or more.

Disappointed it was an AR-15 platform. Probably politics influenced. From what I learned today the first run was only 1,000 rifles and limited dealers to only 3.

That's an MSRP so the retail will probably come in around $700.
