I have a KAC trigger in my "bubba garage build frankengun" that has a few thousand rounds on it without any problems. I've had a Geissele SSA before and it was nice. Felt about the same as the KAC trigger.
Do you actually read my entire posts, or just comment on bits and pieces? My exact statement was:

"Unless the SR-15 is better than the crap M110 they sold to the Marine Corps, I'll pass on KAC".

If KAC can't deliver quality to the US military on a hard-fought contract, I'll pass on ANYTHING they sell to civilians.

Cmshoot,

I'm with you on that, for the same reason I won't buy Eotech.

Like it as well as I can for something I ain't shot yet! LOL

No complaints with fit n' finish, all seems very nice. Was out of the country for most of this week. Was planning on going to the range today (got a 200yd one right behind the house) but was busy with last minute Christmas stuff. Aiming for next Saturday. Wife is going to the Bama game so I'll be rattling around by myself.

I did read your entire post. Seems you are comparing apples to oranges though.

Not really. KAC was brought up and he expressed his opinion of them.

Makes sense to me. If they can't make a rifle that meets the standards and specifications that they claimed it would, and they are making it for the US military, why would I think that one of their civilian rifles/carbines would meet their stated quality standards?

Their ordnance made to meet a specific military contract, a contract that they fought hard for, has been proven to not meet their own stated specs. If they don't care enough about the US military to meet the specs of the contract, I doubt they give 2 s***s about Joe Civilian.

Got a 200yd range behind my house and I'm too busy with Christmas to get on it.

Plan is to head out there this Saturday. I'll post range pics.

If I had a 200 yard range behind my house, I'd take up reloading and shoot 3 times a week. Lucky guy you are.

......and I still ain't got to the range. Working my full-time job during the week, which puts me out of the country more often than not. Weekends lately have been teaching classes and family stuff.

Since I ain't had time to hit the range, I removed the rail today and dropped it off at Dobbs Defense to be Cerakoted in Magpul green.

I paid extra for the hammer-forged barrel, but wasn't sure of the manufacturer. With the rail pulled, I figured it out. It's a Rainier Arms Mountain Series CHF 5.56 NATO barrel, mid-length, M249 chrome-lining, 1:7" Not too shabby, that's a $300 barrel.

Gas block is SOLGW, pinned.

Rail is marked as SOLGW, but it's definitely an SLR SOLO 15" M-LOK model. They retail for $240.

+ 1 for the rainier arms barrel and that stream light, I got the same light for Christmas.
Very nice looking weapon, looking forward to the range report.

Looks like a nice rifle. Just curious if you put some rounds down range with it yet? I was looking at getting an AR from SOLGW and I had a few questions. I sent an email to them and the owner said to give him a call. I spoke with him awhile and he answered my questions. Not every company will do that for you. Still considering getting one.
