Which is your favorite AR?

Two start off with, I have two favorites, first one is my Bazooka Bro. AR15-45 Carbine. I changed the upper from a flat top to a TRUE A2 upper. My second is my home built DPMS / Tactical Machine lower LR-308A2 Carbine.
Now which one of your ARís do you shoot the most? I shoot my AR15-45A2 carbine the most. It is also my go to weapon when there are bumps in the night. I have a nice Barska green lazer mounted on top. So when I light you up with the green there will be a 45 coming with it.

I don't have an AR15 but if and hopefully when I do get one or build one it will be an A1 clone like this

My favorite is my Colt HBAR 6601 that I bought new in 90-91. It was wearing on its carry handle for many years the Colt 4X scope, recently I put on a Nikon M-223 and Cherokee Delta cheek riser. It's heavy by AR standards but it's very accurate.

The one that gets shot the most is a S&W M&P15. 1:8, melonite and it has a Ace Entry stock on it. It also has a Aimpoint Pro on a Larue LT-150. The carbine is lightweight and it's a hoot to shoot.

My Colt SOCOM, tribute to the ones I carried in Afganistan. I was able to keep my sling, mags, four rail and CCO retainer. Some other goodies too

16" barrel, A2 stock, 13.5" free floating forearm. They are all set up this way. Similarities matter when the chips are down.

Let's see now, have had all manner of Colts, Bushmasters, Stag, custom builds for match shooting, Compass Lake Eng. builds(top of the line,) and got away from them for quite a while and decided to jump back in and settled on the Ruger SR556. Seemed to offer the most for the dollar and so far have not been disappointed with it's performance, shoots very well even with chrome lined barrel. Typical horrible factory trigger, but correct those on my own and now breaks at very crisp 3lbs. The piston driven feature was not a deciding factor for me and frankly never had any problems with the gas impingement versions, but will say the crud and powder residue is not in the bolt/chamber area anymore. Pull the piston, clean a bit and on your way. There is really not much more you can add or do to the rifle, it's got all the whistles and bells on it from the factory. Would have preferred a 7 or 8 twist, but don't shoot matches anymore with a 15 so it works OK for me. Added a 10" bloop tube and fitted Warner rear sight and Anshutz globe front and it's a 1moa rifle with about any reloads I feed it. The SR556 is my only 15 now and is my last one as well, good rifle from my experience.

Hard to pick a favorite, as I rarely shoot any of my AR's.

I guess I would pick the one I milled out from an 80%, just because. I left it in the white, and added black furniture with silver barrel and contrasting trim. That one is in .300 Blackout, as is the second one down in the family photo.

A few

These are a few (I ) snapped together......the one at the top is probably my favorite and Lord knows how many rounds I have spit out of her. It has the USGI A2 barrel...no HBAR BS. All three are pieced together with various parts. The middle one is the most "special" to me as I guided my Son (10 at the time) as he built it. He selected the parts. Had to assist with gas tube alignment and barrel torque but he basically did 95% of the work (yeah there's a tool mark here and there).....he has already put together another list of parts....gotta keep the Brownells book away from him....

Probably my two most favorite ARs to fire are these:

SIG 516 and Colt 6450.

The 516 is my primary HD rifle and the wife will grab the 6450 if needed.

This is my one and only AR. Pretty much a clone of my service rifle with an added suppressor.
