This one may take it's place if things work out. Rifle length gas system with an 18" barrel.

I like your slings, especially the one in the first picture. Two points are very practical and simplistic. Maybe it's me but I always seemed to get three point slings caught on all my gear.

I have a Spike's Tactical Crusader, love it. The wife has a DPMS Oracle and for the money, I wouldn't trade that one away either.

My SBR build...

My BCM Mid-length Mod 2

Each has it's intended use.

The two point slings are the effect of an appleseed followed by an RBC and finding out just what a properly set up sling can do for you with a good rifle. The AR doesn't recoil like an M1 or M1A but the sling still helps.

These days retro AR's are interesting to me. I have an early Colt SP-1 as well as a CAR-15 (XM-177) built using an Martin Maritetta (PM) marked M-16 upper on a Oly lower with GI parts. I have seven AR's as well as a Rock River stripped lower waiting for me to decide what to build next.

7th

I actually just fell in love with another one. I don't know how I've never co.e across a Colt 6720! This thing is nice and light.

Too many to list here. One of my favorites is the very first Colt SP-1 AR-15 I bought in 1979 for $360! Its had over 13K rounds through it and on its third Colt 1/12 pencil barrel. Averages ~1 MOA when I do my part. Original trigger and hammer are glass smooth from wear but still lockup nice and tight.
I've bought, sold, traded and built many since then, but my go to" is a M-4 clone with a 14.5" pinned SOCCOM Colt barrel and all USGI parts except lower receiver and FCG. Built it in 2009 and is one of the most accurate and reliable rifles I've ever shot. Over 8,000 rounds of all types through it and it goes BANG every time I pull the trigger clean or cruddy. Wears an old, early hologram type sight that I've worn the name off, but puts the shots within 1MOA out to 500 m. Cost less than $450 to build since the lower is an A1 style that I picked up in 1986. Think this is the fourth or fifth build using this receiver. I'd estimate over 25-30,000 rounds on it but it's still tight. Palmetto Armory that was first built into an AR-15A1, then an A2 and a few CAR versions. Might not be 100% correct as it's the wrong lower for a M-4 clone but it works better than some of the newer ones I've used. Newer ain't always better.

I have 2 almost identical set up AR. LMT lowers with colt uppers and magnum furniture. One has the 6920 and one has 6720 upper. The pencil barrel and heavy barrel. Both 1/7. I like the pencil better.
