How is that any different than the Rock River LAR 47 or the Knights Armament SR 47 before it?

This is the reason the 300whisper/blk was designed right! Trying to recreate the wheel.

I have always been fascinated with the concept of shooting the AK cartridge in an AR platform. I think MGI has the Hydra with the changeable barrels and magazine wells. I might be looking for this rifle sometime.

Cool concept. but with that price tag no thank you. Rather stick with my 5.56 in the Ar platform and my 7.62x39 in the sks...yes, sks over ak47 for this guy!!

Thanks from Foxfire32 and pitbulz21

7.62x39 will always be cheaper than .300; that's why this idea sells.

Yea I know, but why buy such an expensive ar to shoot cheap ammo? Like buying a race car to pud around and go to the store in. Some do it but logically it is backwards to me. I'd rather have an sks!

Saw Hickock45's review last night. There was a lot of flash from the ejection port.

The rifle is way overgassed and really should be a piston instead of DI.

LAR-47

I can't speak for CMMG but I own and shoot the LAR-47. I love the rifle, with cheap wolf or tula it shoots really well. I hunt with the Privi lead nose jacketed bullets, looks like a 30-30 cartridge. Everything I or my wife has shot at with it didn't walk away, in fact I just had a sausage biscuit made from one of them. This ammo will shoot under 1 MOA, with or without the suppressor, very light and easy to manage suppressor makes it front heavy but recoil or muzzle rise not worth mentioning. This is why I don't reload for this caliber, have the equipment just don't use it.

Subsonic loads I do load. I cast a 180 grn hollow point wheel weight at 1080 fps. I've only shot at one critter with these, a large bobcat that kept running off game in my grass patch. Tried some 200 and 220 lead bullets I bought and accuracy was not that good.

I like the 7.62x39, wish I could get a 22" to 24" barrel made to try some different powders in.

As far as magazines go most all the metal ones I've tried work well. Some have to have the tab on rear slightly filed to easily fit. Mag pul Gen 3 have all worked as advertised.

I'm going to ruffle some feathers here but my opinion is the 7.62x39 in supersonic is superior to the 300 BLK, subsonic the 300 BLK is ahead due to the ability to shoot a bullet thats are 40 to 50 grns. heavier. Maybe rock river will make one with a faster twist rate.

Nothing about the mutant seems interesting to me.

Check out the PSA KS47 for a simar rifle at a much better price point. One of my buddies has one and it is way more accurate than a run of the mill AK. I think he paid around $900 for it.
