as a (very) general rule, I doubt ANY AR/M16 is going to shoot ANY ammo CONSISTENTLY into 1MOA or less without some type of free-float tube/handguards. Yes, I am sure there are exceptions, but there is a reason why virtually all match AR's use free-float handguards/tubes.
Likewise, the typical 6-7 pound trigger on most stock ARs (and M16s) doesn't help much in group shooting either, but the mechanical accuracy comes from not having the pressure on the barrel.
