R25 handguard

Hello again.

I've been searching so long answer for this. Is this R25 DPMS made rifle ?

I found this link

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...1181535AA20gmH

Somebody asksed same thing

Best answer was this

"Remington sells a rail that attaches to the handguard. Other rails are available that will do the same. It is a re-branded DPMS LR308. It accepts DPMS LR-308 accessories. You can get rails, quad-rail handguards and front-sight bases from DPMS, midwayusa.com, and brownells."

I send email to remington, but no answer, so how i can be sure what handguards will fit my R25

found this

http://troyind.com/manuals/DPMS_RECEIVERS_COMPARE.pdf

i got this older one, i think, little HIGH profile.

The R25 is a camo'd DPMS rifle with Remington stamped on it. DPMS part will work.

Most ar accesories fit any ar. Being a 308 i dont know if the 556 ones fit, i would imagine any 308 ar hand guard would fit. Find one youre interested in, then google that specific rail make and size to see if it will fot the r25 or dpms 308.

The R25 came with two different heights for the top rail of the receiver.
I have had three of these R 25s and noticed the difference in height between the older and newer versions. This rail height variation will make matching up a railed handguard a bit more complicated.

okey,

I got this info from Ar-15.com

there is 2 types DPMS Upper recivers. High and low profile

Old is .216" (5.48mm) (3/16")
New is .156" (3.96mm) (1/8")

I measured mine is .216, so that should be High profile.

I bought this

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/295...aluminum-matte

Still handguard rails arent same level with my reciver rails.

Can anyone help me with this, maybe those R25 are dirfent somehow, then DPMS made rifles ?

why my R25 is high profile, but still is not same level with high handguard, maybe i had to buy low profile ?
