I have an A-1 Rock Island that is stamped Cal 5.56 MM XM-15 A-1 Ser 00069X with Rock Island Armoury with the crossed cannons above it on the left side of the mag well, Mine has an early M16 stock without the trap door and a three pronged flash suppressor with Delta triangular hand guards.
The upper is USGI M-16 with LM stamped below the rear sight on the right side of the receiver. The barrel is chrome lined and marked C MP Chrome Bore. I paid $550.00 for mine with a bunch of magazines and a Atchisson .22 adaptor kit.
The receiver is also stamped Sendra Corp Barrington IL just above and in front of the safety on the left side... I wonder if yours was the same as the one I just retrieved from my gun safe? It is a good shooter and has yet to malfunction in the ten or so years that I've owned it.
