Had a EOTech on my M4 when deployed, and have a T-1 on my carbine at home. T-1 wins, no contest. I own a 4MOA T-1. Aimpoint just released a 2MOA. Recommend that you look at both.

Use a Larue mount. In fact, buy from Larue Tactical to get both (already mounted) and save a bit of coin in the process. They'll also send you some very cool free gifts.

I've used both and like both. However the battery life on the eotech sucks compared to the Aimpoint. IF you get one of the newer models that uses AA batteries, and has easy access to them, then fine.

The Aimpoint is very cool also. If I had to pick one I'd choose the Aimpoint (and I did).

Thanks for this thread. I am looking at a T-1 too. I wanted one for my Buckmark, but it may fill a niche on my flat top.

I've used both and like the Aimpoint T-1 better. The T-1 is smaller and lighter and the body is so slim that when you look through the optic it's almost like looking downrange without optics, it's almost like seeing the dot float on the target without a frame around it. I haven't handled the 2 MOA dot but the 4 MOA dot didn't seem to be all that much larger than the 1 MOA dot in my EOTech XPS2-0.

+1 for the Aimpoint T1

5 year battery life left on... you can't beat that. Waterproof to 50 or 60 feet... check this Daniel Defense promo/torture test with the Aimpoint T1... and the T1 keeps on going..

I have had both. After trying an Aim point I sold my Eotech and bought a 4 MOA T-1. A battery that lasts for years is awesome. Never had any issues with zero shift like I had with the Eotech. Plus only 3.7 oz

Thanks from bigkicks

I have both. The reticle on the eotech is nice but I like the t1 better. I have considered selling my eotech. The h1 is a good option if you do not require night vision.

Another +1 for the T-1, I actually just put one on my scout with the airborne mount. Had a ML3 on it before but, the T-1 sets lower for the cheek weld. Two thumbs up for the T-1

I sold my eotech to fund buying the new T1 2 moa. It is by far the best red dot sight I have owned. I run it on my SOCOM 16 and it is great. I never wanted a T1 because of the 4moa but now that they came out with the 2 moa it beats the eotech hands down. Less rail space, lighter weight and better cheek weld withouth needed a riser on my VLTOR mod stock. Plus the battery life is amazing 5 yrs. Just my 2 cents

Micro. My only issue is that sometiomes I get double vision downrange. Have to play with the distance from your eye.

I love the eotech. So that would be my suggestion, but both of them are great. Aimpoint wins for battery life, eotech everywhere else imo.

I have an eotech on my ar but an aimpoint on my socom 16. T-1 is really thin keeps the weight down and the battery life is awesome, but the reticle on my eotech is outstanding for quick shooting. I think both are damn near bomb proof. Really it comes down to weight/battery life/preferred reticle/and price.
