Greetings,

Well no idea........but! I read that there are only a half dozen or so actual manufactures of lowers which are then "branded" for the eventual builder, retailer, etc.. I think there is a look up chart on Arfcom that can help you to figure this out.

Regards, Jim

Just to follow up on my original posting: I have completed the assembly of my Carolina Mountain Tactical lower receiver using a Stag Arms lower parts kit and MagPul MOE furniture. Everything went together with no problems - a very smooth build. I can recommend the CMT lowers to anyone that is in the market...well-made, finely finished and reasonable in price.

CMT has a good rep. I'm sure you'll have no issues.

When I saw your thread mention CMT I automatically assumed it was a Continental Machine Tool lower. However it turned out to be Carolina Mountain Tactical.

Continental Machine Tool is a major manufacturer who builds parts for the government's M16 program as well as for Colt, Rock River, S&Wm Stag Arms, etc, as well as others. CMT is also the parent company of Stag Arms...
