As far as Mass goes you've got a better shot at hitting the lottery. I posted here awhile ago looking for a 'smith in Western Ma or Ma in general. No responses. Even tried my local range for some word of mouth and the best I got was try Smith & Wesson.
There's only one guy that I know of but, he's in Belchertown. Swift River Gun Works. He did some minor work on an SKS for me years ago. Work was fine but his turn around time is ridiculous. Almost forgot I owned the rifle by the time it was ready.
What are you looking to have done?

Tombstone Trading in Brookfield, MA. mentioned to me (while purchasing an M1 Garand in 7.62 NATO) that they use THE guy who was Brookfield Machine Tool (yes, THAT Brookfield Machine) as their gun smith. This is where my Barnett barreled M1 was born... getting paperwork for the gun from him.

For some reason I never associated BMT with Brookfield, MA.

There is also Swift River Gun Works in Belchertown, MA. who is suppose to be a very good smith, though, I don't know his familiarity with the 14.

Give Tombstone a buzz...
