I really like my ULTimak rail on my Socom 16.
But I did have a problem with the screws that came with it. I stripped out the Allen heads when I tried to tighten them. It comes with 6X32X 3/8's" Button head Allen screws which take a 5/64" Allen wrench(too small I think).
So I replaced them with 6X32X 3/8's" SOCKET CAP screws which take a 7/64 Allen wrench (much stronger).
The socket cap screws stick up tall enough that you can not mount a ring on the rail directly above the screws. That is why the manufacturer sends it out the door with button heads. I did not need to mount anything above the screws and wanted a solid mount on the Socom 16. I am very happy now.
It cost me 45 cents for the screws at Fastenall. I my order TORX brand screws for it someday.
