I just received my Schuster gas plug...and plan on using it tomorrow.
Although my preferred ammo is 168 grain I shoot 175 grain sometimes. I bought the nut so the op rod and receiver don't get battered as much...and I'm sure the gas plug will help.
But although the recoil force will be reduced does anybody have any idea if the Schuster gas plug will effecively reduce the recoil force put on the op rod and receiver so that someone can use 175 grain ammo without reducing the parts life of the rifle?
