It appears to be an early smear McMillan stock, and it should have the faux liner screw hole.

Ren

Thanks from Majikani

It is an early McMillan and yes, it does have the faux liner screws. Early version of forest camo...

Ren
Not really a smear, more of a semi-smear or simply very early forest camo... Yes on the liner screw indent.

Terry, you are an addict....Matt is an addict....I too am an addict....we are addicts!

The real dilemma is the type of M14s we build, they have to reflect a very high degree of authenticism and therein lies the rub. If we are to build these rifles with the pin point accuracy, a mirror of the originals, we are held to a high standard by specific parts we cannot deviate from.

This in it's self has certain pit falls which consume us.....our time, money and energy are second to the M14 build(builds) we aim to achieve.

We have lost touch with those who know us but don't understand our affliction. They don't share our passion, and will never see the reasoning behind our spending so much time, energy and money pursuing our dream...the perfect M14 clone.

Even folks who own M14/M1A rifles will question our sanity, and look upon us with disdain. They will tell us we have wasted all this money on rifles which will never reflect the investment.

To them I say, it was worth doing!

There are a few others who feel the same way as we do, I know who you are.

REN

Thanks from M14vrp, conditionone and Majikani

Wait till you get the M40 bug, Ren.
It's coming soon, if not already.
It always started with the Optics with me.
Bought a B&L, and had to put a rifle under it.... Who is that socom42 guy, he knows his stuff..
Bought an AR Tel, need the rifle.
ART II... 2 ART IIs.... I blame 2336USMC for that one.. and two..
And AWC, G&H and M84 setup. Yeah, thanks a lot Cass. Just had to post that pic... lol.
The green Redfield caught my interest.. Damn that Dutchgunny!
The design of the Unertl 10x Sniper is what hooked me...
"take just a little taste, Toki.. you won't get hooked. "
I got Majikani here and on m40rifle feeding both m14 and m40 monkeys on my back....
Man, ain't it time to shove off? Every time you port, my bank account gets lighter..

Thanks from 2336USMC, XM25Ren, Majikani and 1 others
