XM21 Hunter version.

Just finished up another all Bula Defense XM21. This time it was decided to set one up for hunting. The 20 rnd mag is just for the photo. Hunting requires 5 rounder. Leupold 2 -7 should be just about right. Bula custom 20.5 NM barrel cut and crowned.

Nice gun . .

Ummm . . . .It may be just me, but I might not want my license plate iun the picture.

Can't say exactly why, but in this day and age, it would make me uncomfortable.

probably not much to worry about.

Is there a particular reason you are using such tall rings to mount your scope?

Just that this scope is the shop scope I use for initial function test on rifles. The QRW Leupold rings connect fast to just about everything.

Not yet. Just got it together and I have a few other projects to work on first. I am itching. If it is like the other Bula Defense rifles I have put together, it will be right around 1 moa right from the get go.

I knew there was a reason.... thanks for clearing that up as one would have to be a giraffe to shoot that without a cheek riser.

No doubt.
It was originally set to clear the rear sight using an ARMS #18 mount and I just left it that way. When they are finished I make them a whole lot closer.

Here is an example of a finished product.

I've got an XM21 barreled receiver ordered, and hope to have it soon. I chose the XM21 partially for the option to set it up just like some of my previous bolt action hunting rifles. Relatively low mounted scope, and no sights. And of course a 5 round magazine. The 5 rounder just makes it so much easier to carry, and I feel it just makes an all-around "handier" rifle to hunt with. I don't think I've ever needed more than 5 shots at a time while hunting. I did keep the 22 inch barrel though.

Thanks from nf1e and JEFFJP_N_JJ
