New Scout Squad to go with Loaded

Hi all,

I have a M1a loaded and really enjoy shooting the rifle. So much so I bought a Scout Squad also.

The loaded is set with a zero at 100 yards with 4 clicks up from the bottom. The new M1a scout squad takes about 16 clicks up. I would like to get those clicks to about 8 up or so with the scout squad. With this in mind does anyone know where you can get a taller front sight to replace the nm .062 that comes on the scout squad?

thanks for any pointers.

Awards Showcase

Compare the Scout front sight with the one from your Loaded. The Scout sight should already be the "tall" one used for short barrels.

I don't know if Springfield still includes the how to zero your sights instructions with a new rifle.

I followed their instructions and my Scout came in at 8 clicks.

Ammo can make a difference, so use a good quality to get everything set.

A search on the site will bring up a bunch of info on zeroing the sights.

There may be a difference in the rear sights between the Scout and the Loaded which accounts for the number of clicks, someone will be along soon to "learn us something".

Not to get completely off topic but if I build a rifle with a 19.25 inch barrel will I need to use the tall front sight? I'm guessing I would, don't even have it yet and already asking questions.
