I'm not looking for a collector's type rifle at the moment. Seems like that Bula is more and more what I'm looking for at the moment in a used rifle. I love this forum.
^^^ that's what I did, I bought a SAI loaded for $1100 bucks. I really like the rifle and it is fun to shoot I even took one deer with it this year. Now that I now that I really like these rifles I'm going to attempt to build my own bula.

Forgive my ignorance. Is that a person selling something on the PX forum or a search site?

Remember, you don't need sub MOA to hunt deer at 300 yards.

True. 300 yards would be the absolute max distance I'd ever hunt in my area. 200 yards would be more likely.

I would start at the top of your list and work down. It appears you have already done the research.
Either LRB or Bula Defense would be my choice.
With the current production of in spec parts by Bula, old USGI, are just that.
SAI is ok if you are getting one because of the lifetime return policy, but I would rather have a dependable tool that is good from the get go.
I have an SAI in the herd, but it pales by comparison to the others.
Often times when you ask why someone is selling an SAI rifle they will respond that they want to upgrade. .
Whatever blows your skirt up.

go with a bula and never look back. USGI parts are cool and all but your getting a NEW rifle with bula and they are less than LRB. win win.

USGI parts mean a lot to some people here but if that isnt you go with the better priced New rifle.

Both Greg and Kurt have the right rifles, with the right parts at the right price.

They will do the job hunting deer, easily at two-three hundred yards, and be an heirloom to pass down from one generation to another.

If I didn't already have an all Winchester M14 one of those would be mine.

Still it's your money, but the best bang for the buck are those two rifles.

I guess im more of a purist and like the all USGI rifles, not saying anything wrong with Bula or LRB but i like the 5 line SAI receivers built up with all USGI parts.
In my lpinion these type riflrs will always hold a higher dollar value, but thats just me.

SAI M1A from Kurtc. Absolute cherry rifle. The other makers are niche and have limited name recognition. This could affect future value. Kurtc has superb gear. That's the one I'd want. Not to mention the forever SAI warranty. Second would be the all Winchester M1A from tnw50cal. If I only had one M14 it would be one of those, toss up really.

Everyone is right to a degree. The fact of the matter is the OP has picked 4 great rifles, any of the 4 will make him a great rifle.

Buy whichever configuration will keep you satisfied longer. Pretend it will be your only one. As stated previously, it would be hard to go wrong with the possibilities that you are looking at.

I was looking for the most authentic replica of a Viet Nam issue M14 for my U.S. martial arms collection. It was this LRB offering: "CLASSIC RIFLE AUTHENTIC VIET-NAM ERA "AS ISSUE" RIFLE." It has the LRB forged receiver and bolt and the Criterion barrel. All other parts are U.S.G.I. They were about $1,000.00 cheaper then than they are now. They hold value pretty well. (I did not know that and it wasn't a consideration at the time, but it is a good thing to know.) I was after a forged receiver and I was ignorant of BULA's existence a few years back. Your wants may be different. My "play with" carbine is a SAI SOCOM, which has not disappointed me in the least. I have examples of two "ends of the spectrum". There are a lot of options in the middle.

I urge you to make up your mind soon as this thread has highlighted rifles that may go to others if you do not act quickly. Best wishes.
