Just get a PTR 32

https://www.atlanticfirearms.com/ind...category_id=26

HK originally intended for the 7.62x39 to be in the smaller 5.56x45 series rifles. PTR builds the 7.62x39 PTR 32 based on the 7.62x51 PTR 91 because that is the rifle series that they have tooling to build, a bit overly large for the 7.62x39. It would be perfect in the G33 size rifles.

Thanks from Douglas Haig

A crime against nature. Unfortunately some things when seen can never be unseen.

The weight/power ratio is not good at all. I'll stick to my 308.

Burn the witch!!! Heresy! No possible pluses versus 308 that I can think of.

Like Glashaus said the CETME and HK roller locked rifles conceived in WWII were supposed to be fired with a round similar to the WWII German 8mm short (similar to the 7.62 AK round). So was the FN FAL. Both manufactures were strong armed by the USA to use the .308. The rifles were lengthen to accommodate it. Only right, that now the chickens should come home to roost and there be a 7.62x39 M1A.

All the advantages of an M14 and less
A lot less range , a lot less power ,
& turning concealment back into cover,
What a deal !!

Shoot, I'll take it. What does that cost in Canada anyway? USD$500? I'm not trying to start a fight, just thinking, "why not?"

It's on a SOCOMish length barrel anyway, so not intended to go the distance and a lot less expensive than a mini-14.

Correction: looks like an 18" barrel. Still, QCB type range fun on the cheap.

Thanks from Snyper762

I'm all for it, so why not.... Would you all say the same about a M1A in 5.56?

The most blasphemous thing is that magazine, no attempt to manufacture one to make it look original.

Just my opinion but, absolutely. 556, 9mm, 45-70. If it ain't 308, I wouldn't be interested.

Reminds me of some of my previous love interests; it is too big, too heavy, and too expensive.

Howdy,

It would be like having a Ruger Mini-14 in .22 LR.

Oh.

Doesn't Ruger make a semi-auto rifle in .22 lr?

I think it is called a 10/22.

That's right.

Now I remember, my wife has a Mini-14 and a 10/22.

How could I forget?

Yup, one is smaller and lighter than the other.

If I could only remember which is which.

See you in the funnies,

John
