This has all GI parts and looks to have been fired very little. It is not in its original stock, I moved it to the synthetic, the original has a crack and I have sent it off to be repaired. So it's in a temp home of my hand painted camo stock. It shall return to its home this Saturday and I will add some pics in it. Just wanted to share!!! February has been good to me. Semper Fi!
You do realize the COA shows the complete serial number?

Yes I do. Not worried about it. Got all my receipts. I took it with my thumb over for something else. Just reused that pic.

Wikipedia shows that JEJ is a Korean War veteran of the Army. Interesting, I never looked him up before.

Pretty cool, thanks for the OP! I went to the Tulsa Wanamaker show last November. While there, I bought a Armscorp M14 that has all TRW parts. I walked out of the show to go put it in the car when this grizzly looking man wearing a Marine Corps cover says to me "let me see that shootin iron you got there." He was sitting outside having a smoke. He looked the rifle up and down and commented about the M14 as he knew it in the Marine Corps... must have looked at the rifle for 10 minutes and I listened to what he had to say about it. We shook hands and I thanked him for his time in the Marine Corps. It wasn't until I had put the rifle in my car that I realized I had just had the honor of meeting R. Lee Ermey himself. I couldn't believe it, but it was the damn truth!

Thanks from Dave P, RDS, brianns and 2 others

Stripper clip- you could slightly exaggerate the truth and claim your rifle was once carried by R. Lee Ermey !!!

As mentioned did not know JEJ was a gun guy either, but it can be said that both the man and the rifle are of high quality, he as an excellent, storied, actor and same for the clone of an M14. Both quite capable of speaking loudly and clearly when necessary.

Hey folks, I inquired with Charlie Justmann via e-mail about other parts of the collection. He cautioned me not to use JEJ's name in print and that calling was best as algaskin suggested too. This is to help prevent unwanted attention from the general public or media as you might imagine. It would help if you have specific interests to mention because there is not a list that would be sent out of the various pieces that might be available.

From what I've read he received his commission as a second lieutenant in mid year 1953 and then went active going thru training including Ranger school. I don't see him as having participated in the Korean War with it officially ending on July 27th 1953.
Really liked his character as the Sgt. Major in the movie "Gardens of Stone".

If I were to guess that movie probably peaked his interest in buying the rifle.
