Very nice build, it not easy to build an XM25 with a stock liner. More pics please...

Nice rifle! Welcome to the forum. I would like more info on your liners too. I have been on Tank's list for years. I am starting to think I should start looking for other options.

1/2 m.o.a is one nice starting point. How much does she weigh in at?

I've heard that Tank's liners have not been made in a while...so this thread was really interesting.

I'm still early in the parts collection phase of a prospective M25 replica build, but I too would be very interested in a stock liner - if it could be accurately replicated. Here's what I have assembled so far.

...I'm not sure if I want to use one of my two SAI NM M1A rifles as a donor, or buy another rifle...and I still have a long way to go. Currently looking for the older Leupold Tactical Ultra rings for this project....but still hoping to build an M25 rifle this year.

Thanks from Majikani and Dougboffl

Guy,

I like your style and that scope looks new in the box! Take a look at the badger rings. What barrel will you be using?

I spoke to Ryan, maybe he could hook you up with a liner.

Ren

ps can you take a few pictures of the scope box, and do you have the manuals?

Thanks from Itsadryheat

I am wanting a bpt type liner myself. Real or repro is fine. I hope Tank's makes some eventually. If anyone knows of some repro liners being made, please let me know.

What rock did you find that nos scope under? Very nice score!

I wish we could get Sadlak to make some of these XM25 liners. That would be sweet!

Guys,
For the record, my B&L 10x tactical scope is not NOS, it is very lightly used, but it doesn't have ring marks. The box it came in is not the original box, but it holds it well enough.

Ren, I don't have the original box for the B&L scope on instructions, but here's a pic of an original box:

As for rings, I'm going to hold-out for the correct Leupold Ultra rings...hoping that someone will take pity on me and sell me a set (here's my WTB post): WTB: Older style Leupold Mk 4 "ultra" tactical rings, part # 40638

The barrel issue is unresolved, but was leaning towards an M25 replica with heavy Krieger carbon barrel....haven't exactly seen a medium weight Barnett marked barrel for sale.

I do hope Ryan can hook me up with a liner...as I would alter my plans regarding the stock, and seek a solid Black McMillian stock.

I'll give Ryan a call sometime today and see if getting you a stock liner is possible. I too can help a brother out.

Ren, thanks, I really appreciate any assistance re the liner.

BTW, just got off the phone with a guy near Quantico (we both shoot at the vintage sniper match down there), and he has a new set of the old Leupold Ultra M24/M25 rings that he's offering to me for a nice price. So that's one more item to check off the list...;-)

Just got back from the range with my XM-25, another good day. Got the Leupold Mk 4 sighted in and went to ringing a small gong at 225 yards. I have had a lot of interest on the aluminum liner. I will be meeting with a cnc machinist this week. I will see what a can get done......

Thanks from Jgun, hytekrednek and XM25Ren
