The very week Majikani was telling me about early black McMillan stocks, one popped up on eBay with a buy now of $200. Wasn't sure it was legit, but took the gamble anyway, and it worked out in my favor.
Someone was selling a Devine about a month back with a black stock on it.

Thanks from XM25Ren

Well, there are a few options, my big concern was the liner and rev.2 piston. Now going after a silenced XM25, sadly I will never be finished.

So, realistically, how durable are these liners in comparison to standard glass bedding? Can the rifle be disassembled as frequently and one would with a non-bedded fiberglass or wood stock with steel liner?

Thanks,

Kevin

Mr. Mateiko has had his XM25 for well over twenty years, it shoots lights out and has not been bedded since the original bedding. Hows that for longevity?

Also, with this large batch of liners potentially coming through, would people be interested in a group buy from McMillan? Figure it would save them some setup time and cost.

The contact points are steel on steel...fairly substantial steel contacts at that. The purpose of the BPT liner is to provide the accuracy enhancement of a bedded rifle while retaining the frequent break down ability of a standard issue M14 without any degradation as standard bedding would suffer.

The production limit on BPTco stock liners was set at 35 units, this has already been reached. Those wishing to be on a stand by list let me know. If someone drops out I will drop you in.
